Job Summary

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Support and assist the Transport Manager to ensure all functions of the operation run smoothly and efficiently.

On shift basis direct monitor and control all driver performance. Ensure that targets and standards are achieved and procedures followed.

Complete all Auditable functions/records required by the Company.

Ensure Training needs and paperwork is completed as recommended by the Company and all records are filed and stored as requested.

Check with Transport Manager to ensure vehicle and trailer daily temperature form is completed and up to date. These must be filed and kept for a minimum of 12 months. Ensure document is Audit ready from either the customer or local authorities.

Check with Transport Manager to ensure weekly driver Temperature Probe records are completed and up to date. These must be filed and kept for a minimum of 12 months. Ensure document is Audit ready from either the customer or local authorities.

Check with Transport Manager to ensure Vehicle/Trailer weekly wash form is completed and up to date. These must be filed and kept for a minimum of 12 months. Ensure document is Audit ready for the local authorities.

Check with Transport Manager to ensure weekly Diesel Area inspection form is completed and up to date. These must be filed and kept for a minimum of 12 months. Ensure document is Audit ready for the local authorities.

Ensure Agency disclaimer forms are maintained and up to date. These must be filed and kept for a minimum of 12 months. Ensure document is Audit ready for VOSA.

Assist your Transport manager with all vehicle / trailer defects. Be able to add a defect fault on 9080 and have the ability to VOR.

Assist your Transport Manager with monitoring fuel stock levels and when fuel is required email Head office. ()

Assist your Transport Manager to report monthly fuel tank dips and pump readings to head office. ()

In the absence of your Transport Manager speak daily with Heywood transport planner and agree tomorrows planned routes. Lease with Heywood planner to try and fill empty running.

Monitor driver performance by means of the RCOM system. Report poor performance to your Transport Manager.

Monitor driver delivery performance by means of the 1154 Managers copy or PODLI. Inform delivery/collection locations when drivers are to arrive late.

Report to Heywood PODLY / Customer Services when any such issue arises.

Assist your Transport Manager with training documents and file and scan if required.

Assist your Transport Manager to ensure vehicle service schedules are maintained and that they are on view. Service sheets must be scanned and filed to their respective folder in . Inform head office of the vehicle registration and date of the service.

Inform your Transport Manager of any personal or vehicle accidents

Inform your Transport Manager/Heywood maintenance of all breakdowns.

Book agency drivers if required.

Compile drivers run sheet and paperwork

Assist your Transport Manager with Working Time (WTD) and recorded weekly in .

Assist your Transport Manager ensuring Driver Digital Tachograph information is downloaded weekly. Paper Tachograph charts must be filed for a minimum period of 12 months.

Vehicles that operate a digital Tachograph must be downloaded within 56 days.

Understand the importance of entering orders via the NFPO system using only the suppliers advised by the company and ensure the NFPO Order system is used in the correct manner for all purchases.

Monitor Drivers attendance and timekeeping by use of the TMS reporting systems.

Assist your Transport Manager to ensure a random Driver Super Debrief is performed weekly.
