KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Manager Lands and Building Services the incumbent advises on and facilitates municipal land matters for the City in accordance with federal territorial and municipal legislation. This includes reviewing and processing municipal land leases purchases sales easements and other land tenures; negotiating and drafting agreements; preparing policy recommendations and draft by-laws; arranging property appraisals environmental assessments legal surveys and other professional services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The position requires a certificate in land administration planning technology GIS engineering design technology or a surveying technology diploma; along with a minimum of 3 years experience in land administration or a related field.
The incumbent must be proficient in MS Office Suite as well as GIS CAD and ESRI Suite software for the purposes of preparation of thematic maps and the creation of drawings.
SALARY:
The City of Yellowknife offers a starting annual salary of $99541 along with a comprehensive benefits package including monthly housing and vacation travel allowances combined totaling $450 per month a defined benefit pension plan and relocation assistance.
