Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Mechanical Engineer or Designer with a strong background in HVAC system design for commercial buildings.
This role is a key production position focused on hands-on design and client engagement not a management track.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design complex HVAC systems for various commercial building types.
- Meet and communicate directly with clients including architects to understand project requirements and coordinate design efforts.
- Conduct thorough site inspections during construction phases.
- Produce high-quality construction documents using required software tools.
Qualifications:
- Experience in designing HVAC systems for Hospital and other Healthcare facilities.
- Experience using Trace 700 for building cooling load calculations.
- Experience using Trace 700 for energy modeling.
- Primary experience must be gained while working in a Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) engineering consulting firm whose client base is predominantly architectural firms.
- Proven knowledge and experience in the design and construction of:
- Hydronic Systems (chilled water hot water and steam).
- Building Automation Systems (BAS).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is mandatory.
- Willingness to work primarily in a production-focused role (hands-on design work).
Hours:
- Full Time - 40 hours per week
- Monday - Friday
- Only 1 day in office
