Responsibilities:
Drive business growth by actively building and nurturing relationships with key referral partners like realtors financial advisors and CPAs.
Expertly manage the full loan application process including borrower intake financial analysis and pre-qualification to determine affordability.
Serve as a trusted advisor by counseling prospective borrowers on the home-buying and financing process detailing various loan products and explaining payment structures and closing costs.
Proactively collect all necessary financial documents and provide required disclosures to ensure a complete and compliant application.
Maintain exceptional communication with the borrower realtors and lender from application to closing ensuring a smooth and timely transaction.
Qualifications/Background Profile:
Must have appropriate state license or certificate (varies by state).
Thorough knowledge of pricing and underwriting requirements of various mortgage insurance companies.
Working knowledge of credit underwriting and property eligibility requirements for FNMA FHLMC FHA VA local bonding programs and private investors.
Familiar with local state and national laws (e.g. zoning ordinances Truth-in Lending RESPA energy audit requirements etc.)
Must be a sales-oriented self-starter.
