Mechanical Engineer Division Leader
The Opportunity
The Mechanical Engineer Division Leader will play a key role in both technical delivery and team leadership with clear potential for long-term growth and ownership.
Leadership & Team Oversight
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design of mechanical building systems including HVAC plumbing fire protection and controls
- Collaborate with architectural electrical and structural teams on complex projects
- Oversee projects ranging from small facilities to large campuses and high-value construction programs
- Ensure energy-efficient sustainable and code-compliant designs
- Manage project schedules budgets and client coordination
- Contribute to marketing business development and client relationship efforts
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT actively pursuing PE
- Ability to obtain Kentucky PE licensure within 6 months (or by comity in other states)
- 510 years of experience in mechanical design within an engineering consulting environment
- Proven experience with HVAC and plumbing design on large-scale projects
Technical Skills
- Advanced knowledge of HVAC plumbing fire protection and control systems
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit and Microsoft Office
- Experience with lifecycle cost analysis HVAC modeling and simulation tools
