Job Summary
Job Overview:
The Lab Engineer Quality Control is responsible for leading QC operations to ensure the quality and consistency of masterbatch and polymer products. This role includes supervising daily laboratory testing approving production batches checking formulations conducting trials maintaining lab instruments training lab staff and coordinating customer approvals. The Lab Engineer also prepares QC reports and communicates deviations to Production and Management ensuring products meet internal standards and customer specifications.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead daily QC operations including testing for MFI dispersion color measurement melt index and moisture.
- Approve production batches and ensure formulations meet specifications.
- Conduct trials for new colors and fillers coordinating results with R&D and Production.
- Maintain laboratory instruments ensure calibration and proper functioning.
- Train and supervise lab staff to ensure accurate and timely testing.
- Coordinate with customers for color approvals and technical clarifications.
- Prepare and submit monthly QC reports and highlight deviations to Production and Management.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in lab processes and product quality.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: B.E. in Polymer Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience: 23 years in plastic masterbatch polymer or related chemical industry with exposure to R&D and QC operations.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of polymer testing techniques lab operations and data analysis. Good attention to detail problem-solving skills and ability to lead a small QC team.
