Role Summary
A leading high-performance digital agency is appointing Sales Development Representatives to generate and qualify new business opportunities with London-based companies. As the first point of contact for prospective clients you will introduce and position a full suite of digital marketing solutions including SEO Google Ads and PPC website design and development social media marketing (organic and paid) content hosting and conversion-focused services.
This is a high-volume outbound sales role for a confident communicator who is target-driven consultative by nature and genuinely passionate about digital marketing and its measurable impact on business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Outbound Prospecting and Lead Generation
- Initiate daily outbound engagement with UK-based businesses via phone calls email campaigns LinkedIn outreach and other appropriate channels.
- Build segment and maintain prospect lists aligned to ideal client profiles based on industry company size digital maturity and budget potential.
- Secure interest qualify initial fit and book high-quality discovery meetings for the sales team.
Qualification and Needs Discovery
- Conduct structured discovery conversations to understand prospect objectives current performance and key challenges.
- Identify needs such as increasing website traffic and visibility improving lead volume and conversion rates strengthening Google rankings optimising paid advertising performance and cost and improving brand awareness and engagement through social media.
- Qualify opportunities using a consistent framework to confirm budget alignment decision-making authority clear business need and realistic timelines.
- Ensure prospects meet minimum engagement and budget requirements before progressing opportunities.
Service Positioning and Consultative Selling
- Communicate the agencys value proposition in commercial terms focusing on outcomes including lead generation improved conversion increased brand visibility and stronger return on marketing investment.
- Confidently explain core concepts such as SEO fundamentals paid search strategy landing pages conversion rate optimisation and the difference between paid and organic social media approaches.
- Represent the agency professionally and ethically setting accurate expectations and focusing on measurable results rather than overselling.
Pipeline and CRM Management
- Manage and maintain an organised pipeline in Pipedrive ensuring every prospect interaction is logged accurately and timeously.
- Update deal stages activities notes call outcomes and next steps consistently ensuring clean CRM hygiene and reliable reporting.
- Maintain disciplined follow-up processes using tasks and reminders within Pipedrive to drive consistent progression and meeting attendance.
- Work towards daily and weekly activity targets and contribute to monthly revenue objectives through consistent qualified meeting generation.
- Collaboration and Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate closely with sales and marketing teams to refine targeting messaging outreach sequences and objection handling.
- Provide feedback on market trends common objections competitor positioning and service demand to improve conversion rates and campaign effectiveness.
Minimum Requirements
- A completed tertiary qualification.
- One to three years of experience in Sales Development Business Development outbound sales telesales or appointment setting preferably within a B2B environment.
- Excellent spoken and written English with a confident professional telephone manner.
- Strong persuasion and relationship-building ability with confidence engaging business owners and senior decision-makers.
- Demonstrated passion for digital marketing and an eagerness to learn and grow in a performance-driven environment.
- Strong organisational skills and the discipline to manage high outreach volume and structured follow-up.
- Proficiency in email spreadsheets LinkedIn and CRM systems with the ability to work confidently in Pipedrive or learn it quickly.
Advantageous Experience
- Experience selling digital marketing services such as SEO Google Ads websites or social media marketing.
- Exposure to international sales environments particularly the UK market.
- Familiarity with qualification frameworks and outbound prospecting methodologies.
