As an In-Person Transactional Services Customer Service Representative (Clerk 3) you complete transactions and provide quality service to our individual and business customers.
This Hiring Pool (internal/external) will be used to fill Permanent Term Temporary and seasonal opportunities(both part-time and full-time) in our Sydney Access accordance with the civil service master agreement the order of consideration will be expression of interest applicants internal BU applicants and then external applicants.
Working in a fast paced continuously evolving service delivery environment you scrutinize records process documents and apply relevant legislation and policy. You also issue primary identity documents such as Drivers Licences and Nova Scotia Identification cards. Other key responsibilities include maintaining security/control of public funds and issuing and securing control of serial numbered and non-serial numbered inventory. While exercising a high degree of confidentiality you accurately enter and retrieve data from automated your work you interact with the general public providing excellent customer service.
To be considered for this position you hold a minimum of four years of experience in a fast-paced front line customer service environment. An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. You are a flexible team-player with strong customer service skills and you complete your work with efficiency and addition you possess the following:
The following would be viewed as assets: knowledge of Service Nova Scotia programs bilingualism (French and English) the ability to scrutinize and reconcile financial information and to detect and resolve discrepancies and experience in cash handling.

This hiring pool will be leveraged to fill upcoming full-time and part-time perm term temporary and seasonal vacancies in Sydney Nova Scotia in accordance with the timelines outlined in the collective agreement.
Pay Grade: CL 18
Salary Range: $1812.15- $2027.56Bi-Weekly
Note: The salary rates shown reflect the new Civil Service Agreement effective April 1 2025. Implementation in our HR system will occur on February 5 2026. Until then the current rates will apply. Employees hired during this period will receive retroactive pay adjustments in accordance with the new agreement and applicable policies.
