To help us with our mission we are currently seeking an experienced Leading Hand who is looking for a challenging and rewarding career in the development and construction industry.

The Opportunity

This role is for a motivated and skilled Leading Hand who will oversee and manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure their work aligns with agreed scopes specifications designs and contracts.

This key role works closely with the Site Manager and requires a proactive individual with the ability to exercise initiative and judgment to maintain the highest standards in safety quality scheduling cost management and environmental care.

As a Leading Hand you will be responsible for:

• Overseeing day-to-day site operations and ensuring project timelines are met
• Working under an experienced Site Manager carrying out outlined duties
• Coordinating trades subcontractors and suppliers
• Ensuring all work is carried out safely and to a high standard
• Conducting site inspections and reporting progress
• Assisting with hands-on work including safety installs when required.

Skills and Experience

• Cert IV Trade in Carpentry or TAFE Building Diploma.
• Proficiency in MS Word Project Excel Outlook and associated software.
• Class 2 Building experience.
• Working knowledge of the Building Code of Australia Security of Payments Act WHS Act/Regulations and Codes of Practice.
• Strong organisational coordination and problem-solving skills.
