Position Summary
The Lot Attendant is responsible for or cleaning reconditioningproperly positioned clean fueled and presentable for customers and staff. and preparing vehicles to meet dealership and manufacturer standards. This role ensures vehicles are presentable for retail sale customer delivery service return and maintaining the overall appearance organization and readiness of dealership inventory and exterior areas.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform full interior and exterior vehicle detailing
- Wash wax vacuum shampoo carpets and clean upholstery
- Clean dashboards door panels glass wheels and tires
- Identify and report cosmetic or mechanical concerns to management
- Prepare vehicles for delivery photography and display
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of detail bay and equipment
- Safely operate pressure washers buffers vacuums and cleaning tools
- Follow all OSHA and dealership safety standards
- Park organize and maintain dealership vehicle inventory in assigned locations
- Ensure all vehicles are properly tagged locked and staged for sales or delivery
- Conduct routine inspections for vehicle cleanliness damage and safety issues
- Move vehicles between departments as requested (Sales Service Detail)
- Assist with vehicle deliveries dealer trades and auctions when required
- Maintain cleanliness of lot areas drive lanes and customer parking areas
- Perform basic vehicle services such as fueling jump starts and battery checks
- Follow all dealership safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
- Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Prior automotive detailing experience preferred (not required)
- Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Physical Requirements
- Frequent walking standing bending and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Ability to enter and exit vehicles repeatedly throughout the day
