Five years of experience in a criminal justice field arson/criminal/fire investigations or inspections a fire service field building codes enforcement a building construction field architecture occupational safety or an engineering field; OR
An associates degree in any field plus four years of experience in a criminal justice field arson/criminal/fire investigations or inspections a fire service field building codes enforcement a building construction field architecture occupational safety or an engineering field; OR
An associates degree in a criminal justice field a fire service field a construction field architecture or an engineering field plus three years of experience in a criminal justice field arson/criminal/fire investigations or inspections a fire service field building codes enforcement a building construction field architecture occupational safety or an engineering field; OR
A bachelors degree in any field plus two years of experience in a criminal justice field arson/criminal/fire investigations or inspections a fire service field building codes enforcement a building construction field architecture occupational safety or an engineering field; OR
A bachelors degree in a criminal justice field a fire service field a building construction field architecture occupational safety or an engineering field plus one year of experience in a criminal justice field arson/criminal/fire investigations or inspections a fire service field building codes enforcement a building construction field architecture occupational safety or an engineering field.

Job Duties and Other Information:
May serve in the following capacities:
* May serve as lead worker trainer or mentor over lower-level Deputies.
* Works on special projects as assigned.
* May conduct the most complex inspections and investigations requiring special certifications.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: Promotional for permanent State Fire Marshal employees only.
Career Progression: This position does not participate in a Career Progression Group.
Work Schedule: Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday Friday.
Location:The location of this position is To Be Determined.
Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience. The bi-weekly rate for this position is as follows:
State Fire Marshal Lieutenant (PS115)--$2161.60
