Description
This position is primarily responsible for direct physical and technically skilled care and monitoring of assigned patients under the direction of the ED RNCC. Serves as a member of an interdisciplinary self-managed work team. Performs delegated aspects of age appropriate patient care and technical patient care skills including basic first aid phlebotomy respiratory care 12 lead EKGs Psy patient care and monitoring collecting and reporting vital signs transportation of patients to and from hospital departments and clinical units clerical duties and basic stocking of ED supplies. Reinforces patient teaching provided by the RNCC and Doctor. May provide Emergent Care as in the EMT-IVs Scope of Practice in the state of Tennessee.
Education: Preferred High school diploma or equivalent. Completed EMT or EMT-IV Training Program.
Licensure/Certification: Current certification in BLS and current EMT-IV licensure for the state of Tennessee or licensure expected within 90 days of hire.
Experience Knowledge: Must possess good customer service skills. Good knowledge of body mechanics. Basic computer knowledge.
