Automotive Service Advisor
Location: Northbrook IL Area
Pay: $18.00 $25.00 per hour Overtime after 40 hrs Monthly Incentive Plan
Schedule: MondayFriday No Weekends!
What Youll Do
- Greet customers warmly and assist in the waiting area
- Sell services and parts with confidence and clarity
- Answer incoming calls promptly (within 3 rings)
- Tag and track vehicles; enter customer and vehicle data into Protractor software
- Manage workflow stages and maintain clear notes on work orders
- Assign work orders based on technician availability and skill
- Communicate effectively with technicians fellow advisors and the Service Manager
- Review technician recommendations and build estimates for customer approval
- Receive parts into work orders and notify customers when vehicles are ready
- Arrange payment and vehicle delivery
- Perform road tests as needed
- Support shop operations with tasks such as shuttling customers cleaning or picking up parts
What Were Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 year experience as a Service Advisor or similar automotive customer-facing role
- Proven sales experience (minimum 1 year)
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows and general computer use
- Fluent in English (verbal and written)
- Basic math skills
- Mechanical knowledge is a plus
