SY26-27SEZP Behavior Specialist (Registered Behavior Technician)
Location: SEZP-Wide
Grade Level: 6-8
Full Time Start Date: August 2026 (exact start date TBD)
Base Salary: Up to $96864.45 and commensurate with experience
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide consistent one-on-one behavioral and instructional support to a middle school student under the direction of a BCBA.
- Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and/or Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) following skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols.
- Collect record and maintain accurate behavioral and academic data daily.
- Collaborate with teachers special educators BCBAs and school staff to ensure consistent implementation of strategies.
- Support the student in developing independence social skills and classroom engagement.
- Participate in relevant team meetings and trainings as directed.
Required Qualifications
- CurrentRegistered Behavior Technician (RBT)certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associates or Bachelors degree in psychology education or related field preferred).
- Prior experience working with children or adolescents in educational or clinical settings.
- Strong ability to follow behavior plans and collect accurate data.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with school teams and families.
- Ability to pass background checks and meet school district employment requirements.
