A Leading Education Recruitment Agency is currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work across mainstream schools and specialist SEN provisions in Southgate. These roles are suitable for candidates who are confident supporting pupils with Autism SEMH ADHD and communication needs in structured and supportive learning environments.
Role Overview
As an SEN Teaching Assistant in Southgate you will provide consistent calm and nurturing support to pupils who may struggle with emotional regulation behaviour or engagement with learning. Many pupils benefit from clear routines positive reinforcement and strong adult relationships.
You will work closely with teachers SENCOs and pastoral staff to implement individual support strategies and behaviour plans.
Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small-group SEN support
Support pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour management
Assist with differentiated learning activities
Encourage positive engagement and independence
Support pupils during transitions and unstructured times
Maintain accurate SEN and safeguarding records
Follow school policies and procedures
