A Leading Education Recruitment Agency is currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary secondary and specialist SEN schools in Haringey. These roles are ideal for individuals with a strong interest in SEMH Autism and behaviour support who are looking for consistent and rewarding work within education.

Role Overview

As an SEN Teaching Assistant in Haringey you will support pupils who may experience barriers to learning due to emotional behavioural or developmental needs. Many pupils require consistent adult support clear boundaries and a nurturing approach to help them regulate emotions and engage positively with school life.

You will work closely with teachers SENCOs pastoral leads and external professionals to implement support strategies and behaviour plans.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group SEN support

  • Support pupils with SEMH Autism ADHD and learning needs

  • Assist with behaviour regulation and de-escalation strategies

  • Encourage positive engagement with learning activities

  • Support social skills and emotional development

  • Supervise pupils during transitions and unstructured times

  • Maintain safeguarding and behaviour records

  • Work collaboratively with school staff and families
