A Leading Education Recruitment Agency is recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work across mainstream schools and specialist SEN provisions in Wood Green. These roles are well suited to candidates who are confident supporting pupils with SEMH Autism and behavioural needs.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant in Wood Green you will support pupils who may face barriers to learning due to emotional behavioural or developmental needs. Many pupils require consistent routines clear boundaries and strong positive relationships to thrive.
You may work on a 1:1 basis within small intervention groups or across the classroom supporting pupils academically emotionally and socially.
Key Responsibilities
Provide tailored SEN support in class
Support behaviour management and emotional regulation
Assist with differentiated learning activities
Promote positive behaviour and engagement
Support pupils during transitions and unstructured times
Work closely with teachers and SEN staff
Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding procedures
Ideal Candidate
SEN SEMH or behaviour support experience
Calm patient and resilient approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
