A Leading Education Recruitment Agency is seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to work in inclusive mainstream schools and specialist SEN settings in Highbury. Schools in this area are known for their strong community ethos and commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant in Highbury you will support pupils with a range of needs including Autism ADHD speech and language difficulties learning disabilities and SEMH. Support may be delivered on a 1:1 basis in small groups or within the classroom.
You will help pupils access learning develop social and communication skills and build confidence within a supportive and structured environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide targeted SEN support in line with individual plans
Assist teachers with differentiated lesson delivery
Support emotional wellbeing and behaviour regulation
Encourage independence and positive learning behaviours
Monitor progress and provide feedback
Maintain accurate SEN and safeguarding records
Work collaboratively with SEN staff and parents
Ideal Candidate
SEN or support experience preferred
Patient nurturing and proactive approach
Strong organisational and communication skills
