Job Summary
Staff Accountant
Location: Downtown Houston TX (Fully Onsite)
We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join the accounting team of a well-established organization located in downtown Houston. This role offers the opportunity to work within a sizable well-resourced environment with approximately $400M in annual revenue supporting a collaborative accounting function and experienced leadership team.
This position is well-suited for candidates looking to continue building their accounting skill set in a structured environment that values learning mentorship and long-term professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with month-end close processes including journal entries and account reconciliations
Support general ledger accounting and financial reporting activities
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and assist with variance analysis
Provide audit support and documentation as needed
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
Participate in ad hoc accounting and finance projects
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
Accounting experience in public accounting or industry preferred
Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus but not required
