Job Summary: The Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures. This role emphasizes patient stabilization close monitoring and safe transition of care in a post-operative setting.

Responsibilities
Provide post-anesthesia nursing care and continuous patient monitoring.
Assess airway cardiovascular status pain and level of consciousness.
Manage post-operative medications IV therapies and medicated drips.
Identify and respond to post-operative complications and changes in condition.
Document nursing assessments and interventions accurately in the electronic medical record.
Collaborate with anesthesia providers surgeons and interdisciplinary teams.

Requirements
Minimum 2 years of recent PACU Registered Nurse experience Required
Post-operative management and medicated drip experience Required
Minimum 2 years of overall RN experience Required
EPIC EMR experience highly preferred

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Required

Certifications
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Required

License: Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License Required
