Job Title: Business Process Analyst (Operations & Migration Strategy)
Location: Saint Louis USA
Department: Operations / Business Transformation
Reports To: Head of Operations Strategy
Role Summary: We are seeking a Business Process Analyst to embed directly within our Operations teams. Your primary objective is to document the current operational landscape and articulate the business-side strategy for our upcoming migration. You will not be acting as an IT liaison; rather you will be the strategic partner to Operations ensuring their workflows customer impacts and migration strategies are clearly defined documented and ready for execution.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Discovery & Process Mapping:
Collaborate with Operations leaders and frontline staff to thoroughly understand and document current business workflows (As-Is).
Create high-level visual process maps that capture the complexity of daily operations dependencies and hand-offs between teams.
Identify shadow processes (workarounds using Excel/Email) that are critical to business function but not formally documented.
2. Customer & Strategy Documentation:
Map the Customer Journey to understand how migration activities will impact customer touchpoints.
Work with Ops leadership to extract refine and document their Migration Strategy. (e.g. Defining customer communication timelines operational blackout periods and support ramp-up plans).
Consolidate disparate strategic ideas into a unified Operational Migration Playbook that serves as the single source of truth for the business.
3. Impact Analysis & Readiness:
Analyze the gap between current workflows and the future state to identify operational risks (e.g. Process A cannot function during the migration window).
Help define the Definition of Ready for Operations-what criteria must be met before the business agrees to migrate
Qualifications:
Experience: 4 years in Business Analysis Operations Management or Management Consulting.
Core Competency: Exceptional documentation skills. You must be able to write clear professional strategy documents and create clean readable process flows (Visio Lucidchart BPMN).
Business Acumen: Strong understanding of operational drivers (efficiency customer satisfaction SLA adherence).
Independence: Ability to walk into an ambiguous operational environment identify key stakeholders and begin mapping processes with minimal hand-holding
