Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal counsel and representation in employment law litigation
- Advise and defend employers against FEHA Title VII and related common law claims
- Defend class action and PAGA matters
- Handle trade secret and unfair competition claims including both defense and prosecution
- Defend wage and hour claims
- Represent clients in court arbitration and before state and federal administrative agencies including the EEOC CRD and DLSE
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted legal advisor
- Actively pursue business development opportunities to support growth of the Employment Law practice
- Present employment law trainings and seminars for clients
- Supervise and mentor associates
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Active membership in the State Bar of California
- Minimum of 8 years of employment law litigation experience
- Proven track record handling complex employment law matters
- Experience representing employers in court arbitration and administrative proceedings
- Partial portable book of business preferred
- Strong analytical negotiation consulting and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Compensation:
Compensation for senior attorneys is negotiated based on experience expected production and business development. The compensation structure includes:
- Estimated base salary range: $225000 $275000 per year
- Incentive compensation: 10% 20% of fees paid based on performance
