Job Summary
Job Description: Firewall Administrator: we are seeking a candidate with current experience in Juniper and/or Palo Alto firewall design configuration administration and troubleshooting. This role will work with approximately 18 other team members to ensure the unclassified firewall network is operational 24/7/365. The role is fully remote Mon-Thursday. The successful candidate will be skilled in supporting non-tech savvy internal customers identifying root-cause resolving firewall issues and routing non-firewall issues to the respective teams.
The role will involve daily maintenance of a subset of firewalls in a complex infrastructure. Daily tasking will include rule updates OS upgrades hardware upgrade coordination customer troubleshooting Service Central ticket monitoring and other administrative work. This role will have a rotational on-call support requirement currently one week every 12 weeks.
The candidate will be responsible for the ongoing operation troubleshooting and maintenance of approximately 150 firewall devices supporting incoming internal customer requests for troubleshooting coordinating new network designs and updating firewall policy through a change management system.
-Candidate should have a minimum certification of Sec or Net.
-CISSP or Juniper/Palo Certifications will be prioritized.
-Minimal travel may be required for team meetings or training is not frequent and will be funded by the company.
-US Citizenship required due to program access requirements
