With a foot in both camps the Sports Model Stakeholder represents the interests of the R&D team and the trading team in a variety of ways: This role is ideal for someone who combines analytical rigor with curiosity for how mathematical models shape real-time decisions in the sports betting world.

Responsibilities

Oversee and validate new model iterations ensuring logical accuracy functional reliability and smooth integration into trading operations.
Act as the main communication bridge between R&D and Trading translating feedback coordinating improvements and facilitating understanding of model behavior.
Monitor model performance and adoption identifying opportunities to enhance usability documentation and overall decision-making efficiency.

Requirements

Deep understanding of sports betting odds mechanics and gambling operations.
Strong ability to communicate model logic and usability to traders ensuring effective adoption and understanding across teams.
Availability to work onsite at least 2 days per week in San José Costa Rica.
Professional English

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with SQL Python MATLAB and/or Excel.
Experience or expertise in gaming gambling games of chance (e.g. poker backgammon Magic: The Gathering) or classic strategy games (e.g. chess Go)
