Laboratory Technician Co-Ordinator

The Laboratory Technician Co-ordinator will support QCL laboratory technician team taking on a coordination role within the entire group which will ensure work is completed to the highest standard there is no gaps in scheduling and there is adequate support level in each department.

Job Responsibilities:

• Effectively coordinating and mentoring the PSS QCL Technicians team across QCL departments so that productivity quality schedules safety and housekeeping are run at maximum efficiency.
• Coordinating the team to ensure any service gaps are filled in by effectively adjusting individual work schedules depending on task demand.
• Ensuring that the client across all QCL departments gets the best possible service by continually improving and reviewing best practices and ensuring team is working to 100% ethical and GMP standards.
• Ensure team members are motivated and use reward and recognition system to celebrate success.
• Act as point of contact for the PSS QCL technicians and for the QCL Client representatives for technical responsibilities.
• Regularly communicate with PSS Management to ensure effective information flow and escalations are taken immediately.
• Contributing to forward planning of activities to maximize the use of all available resources during training periods.
• Forward planning of cross training within the PSS QCL Technicians group to ensure all service levels are met.
• Work with Training and Compliance Specialist and Management to ensure that all PSS QCL Technicians are trained and have completed training records for all tests and other training completed.
• Handling any client related queries where necessary and liaising with their team and with personnel from other teams to problem solve these queries if needed. Escalate appropriately to PSS Manager any queries.
• Ensuring equipment is properly maintained and in the event of a breakdown that it is repaired in accordance with client procedures (with reference to timeliness quality and cost.)
• To ensure all data generated by the team is closed within required time frame. All Non-Terminal Data (NTD) items are addressed and revised regularly.
• To coordinate with vendors and PSS Technicians team around scheduled equipment maintenance (PMs) corrective maintenance to minimize downtime for the client team.
• To assist the team in equipment release post PMs and in-house checks.
• To ensure any equipment records (eEMRs eEDRs shipping forms) are completed fully and to 100% GDP standards they are routed to appropriate reviewers/approvers and are closed within reasonable time frame.

Qualifications :

• Third level qualification in a related scientific discipline is preferable.
• GMP experience is essential.
• Accuracy attention to detail.
• Good organization and time management skills.
• Good communication skills.
