Job Summary

Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Client: Main Contractor
Location: Dublin Region
Sector: Commercial & Residential
Essentials: Minimum 7 years of Quantity Surveying experience preferably with a main contractor; project experience across construction and civil engineering works within residential and commercial sectors; Chartered or actively working towards chartership with the SCS; high level of IT proficiency with softwares such as CostX & Bluebeam.

Due to continued expansion the company is seeking Senior Quantity Surveyors to join the team on projects across the Dublin region supporting the commercial delivery of large-scale residential and commercial developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Valuations & Cost Management:
    Prepare monthly interim and final valuations applications for payment and reconciliations of costs for contracts subcontractors specialists and suppliers.

  • Cash Flow & Financial Reporting:
    Provide accurate and timely information to support regular reviews of cash flow and financial position across assigned contracts.

  • Procurement & Subcontract Management:
    Work in conjunction with the Procurement Manager to place subcontracts for works under direct control where required.

  • Contract Administration:
    Review and interrogate contract documentation identifying and highlighting any anomalies or commercial risks.

  • Client Valuations & Agreements:
    Prepare submit and agree interim and final valuations with client representatives in line with contractual requirements.

  • Measurement & Take-Offs:
    Prepare detailed take-offs in advance of requirements for the Estimating Procurement and Planning teams.

  • Final Accounts:
    Prepare submit and agree final accounts for completed sections of works including all contractual adjustments.

  • Delay & Change Management:
    Accurately record and manage contractual delays variations and associated entitlements.

  • Team Leadership & Mentoring:
    Manage coach and support Contract Surveyors Assistant Surveyors and Junior Surveyors reporting into the role.
