Background
UKFin is an EPSRC funded 2.5M programme of funding tackling financial services challenges. The project aims to grow a network across the UK to increase collaboration across regions between academics and industry. Financial services have been subject to unprecedented technological changes over recent years. This increasing reliance on technology though beneficial also comes with complex associated risks leading to financial services having a wicked works with industry regulators and non-profits to define challenges to connect them to academics and researchers and to co-define projects that address these. Central to UKFin are its funding streams which provide the funding for five types of collaborative projects between academia and partners.
The Senior Administrator will play a key role in organising events for the project as well as assisting in managing the funding process for the network plus.
The candidate will be required to work three weekday days per week one of which must be a Friday.
Role Summary
As a Senior Administrator within UKFin you will provide support for a broad range of administrative duties some of which may be may also be responsible for managing other staff or for supporting colleagues and sharing will be able to use your wide range of skills both technical and administrative and have the opportunity to lead on specific tasks within a order to flexibly use resource you may be given the opportunity to work in different areas of the department or wider University.
Senior Administrators may work in any area of the University; with large groupings in HR Finance and School/College Hubs.

This role will require the exercise of personal initiative within and beyond the manage a team or budgets.
Planning and Organising
The role is required to work independently on daily weekly and monthly tasks but also on projects with medium-longer-term horizons without daily supervision. May manage others staffs workloads.
Problem Solving and decision making
They will work with direction from management but with a significant degree of autonomy. They will deal with more complex queries and be expected to resolve any problems in their area of may also manage the workload of others or coach others to achieve results.
Internal and External relationships
This role will be liaising with internal colleagues and stakeholders likely to be University-wide and with external stakeholders.
