We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer Protection & High Voltage to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design analysis and implementation of electrical protection systems for medium- and high-voltage networks with strong experience in ETAP power system studies.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform power system studies using ETAP (load flow short circuit protection coordination arc flash and stability where applicable)
- Design and review HV/MV protection schemes for substations transmission and distribution systems
- Develop protection relay settings philosophies and coordination studies
- Prepare and review single-line diagrams protection schematics and technical specifications
- Support factory acceptance testing (FAT) site testing commissioning and fault investigations
- Ensure compliance with IEC IEEE and utility standards
- Interface with clients contractors and multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree (BEng / BSc / BTech) in Electrical Engineering
- Experience in electrical protection and high-voltage systems
- Proven hands-on experience with ETAP (essential)
- Strong knowledge of HV/MV protection relays control systems and substations
- Experience with fault level calculations relay coordination and protection philosophy development
- Proficiency in engineering software such as ETAP AutoCAD and DIgSILENT (advantageous)
- Excellent technical report writing and communication skills
