Job Description:
Major Job Functions
- Manage component repair process
- Understand the do not repair (DNR) process by identifying DNR components and the impact of DNR status
- Create failure analysis reports and recommend next steps
- Observe conditional core acceptance tests and verify sales level
- Complete technical documentation (service reports warranty crossover notes)
- Interact with internal and external customers
- Work with the Service Supervisor and Leadhand on various tasks as required
**Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current Collective Agreement**
Specific Skills & Experience
- Mechanic Ticket considered an asset (Automotive Truck & Transport etc) strong mechanical aptitude with desire to learn
- Clean Drivers Abstract
- Understanding of Finning and CAT product or general line parts and mechanical services
- Proficient in MS Office Applications
- Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational interpersonal and communication skills with a high attention to detail
- Previous repair and troubleshooting experience with Caterpillar general line products would be considered an asset
Important Details:
- This is a position based out of our Kamloops facility
- 7 x 7 (Wednesday through Tuesday) Continuous Shift
- Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement.
- Union Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position. This will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted from your pay. The terms and conditions of your employment will be governed by the collective agreement.
