Opening in Fall 2025 Omni Fort Lauderdale will provide South Florida with 120000 square feet of event space new food and beverage options a Natural Spring inspired full-service spa and entertainment pedestrian plaza featuring high-end shopping amphitheater charter boat docking and beautiful promenade. The new iconic landmark offers unforgettable views of the Atlantic paired with unrivalled convenience and intelligently designed meeting spaces. The hotel will be directly connected to the Broward County Convention Center immediately adjacent to Port Everglades cruise terminal and less than two miles from Fort Lauderdale Airport.
Job Description
The Omni Ft. Lauderdale Hotel is a 29-story hotel located at 1850 Eisenhower Blvd and connected directly to the Broward County Convention. The property offers 801 guest rooms and suites multiple restaurants a vibrant rooftop bar a sprawling pool spa and fitness center. The hotel will also have over 120000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space including a grand ballroom junior ballroom 25 breakout rooms and pre-function meeting space with waterfront views.
The Pool Attendant is responsible for guest satisfaction in the pool areaby providing and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest service.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and neatness of poolfacility.
- Responsible for the cleaning and disinfecting of pool equipment.
- Maintain bathrooms and restock supplies as needed.
- Ensure all beverages linens and towels are always clean prepared and well stocked.
- Be actively engaged with our guests. Identify the needs of our guests and meet these needs aiming to exceed expectations at every opportunity.
Qualifications
Qualifitications:
- Prior guest service experience required preferably in hotels
- Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate in English with guests management and co-workers with the ability to answer guest questions and describe menu items.
- Must be able to speak with enthusiasm and be comfortable talking and interacting with guests in a pool environment.
- Ability to handle stressful situations while maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanor.
- Ability to work cohesively with co-workers both within and outside of your department
- Ability to prioritize organize and follow up on guest requests and needs in a fast paced environment
- Excellent customer service service recovery and problem solving skills.
- Must be able to work outdoors throughout entire shift.
- Must be available to work from April through September.
- Requires frequent bending reaching overhead and squatting. Lift carry and place objects weighing up to 30 lbs
- Push/pull objects weighing up to 75 lbs without assistance.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedulespecificallyweekends and holidays.
- Must be able to stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift in indoor/outdoor environments.
