Job Summary

Position Summary
The Baseball Coachis responsible forleading instructing and mentoringstudent-athletesin a positive safe and competitive environment. The coach will develop players skills promote teamwork and sportsmanship and uphold the values and standards of the athletic program and school community.
Primary Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct organized age-appropriate practices focused on skill development conditioning and teamwork
- Teach fundamental and advanced baseball skills including hitting pitching fielding base running and game strategy
- Prepare the team for games and manage in-game coaching decisions
- Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship respect discipline and effort
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes at practices and games
- Communicate effectively with players parents assistant coaches and the Athletic Director
- Maintain attendance equipment and practice/game schedules
- Follow all school league and athletic department policies and procedures
- Serve as a positive role model and mentor for student-athletes
- Support the academic expectations and behavioral standards of the school
Qualifications
- Prior baseball coaching or playing experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of baseball fundamentals rules and strategies
- Ability to work positively with student-athletes of varying skill levels
- Strong leadership communication and organizational skills
- Ability to promote teamwork character development and sportsmanship
