Job Summary

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Sales supervisor within DC structure
  • Manage Delivery/Pickup Schedule
  • Lead Admin/Front Desk Responsibilities
  • Key Account Manager

Sales/Operations/Management and Customer Support:

  • Oversee Transfers between Distribution Centers
  • Order Allocation
  • Tag Printing
  • Banking/Deposits/AR Payments
  • Backup for Distribution Center Manager
  • Sales prospecting
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Accountability - understand the requirement to meet all timelines and expectations with a positive attitude. Engage with upper management and other staff members to develop a positive culture of accountability.
  • GGOB engage in all department and company huddles by actively listening to all information communicated. Interject ideas and questions during the huddles or workday regarding financial status and strategic direction of the department/company. Participate in efforts to develop a positive workplace culture and be actively engaged in your work.

  • Maintain 5S principles
  • Monitor and report maintenance and repairs on equipment buildings greenhouses etc.
  • Be responsible for assigned tools and equipment
  • Know and enforce SANC policy and procedures
  • Learn to recognize unusual plant related issues (insects foliar disorders etc.) Report issues to Manager Propagation/Production.
  • Train on equipment operation as determined to perform jobs required
  • Spring order processing and plant maintenance
  • Licensed driver for deliveries
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned to you

Skills required:

  • Possess basic computer skills including use of MS Office.
  • Strong plant/horticulture/landscape knowledge
  • Strong and effective written and verbal communication
  • Effective ability to delegate tasks in a team environment
  • Ability to operate equipment including skidsteer and forklift


Knowledge:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in tasks as outlined in this position description

Work Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this job the employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions extreme cold or heat. Employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts fumes airborne particles or moderate noise levels.
  • Employee may be required to work at a computer for extended periods.

Work schedule:

  • Minimum of 2200 hours worked per year. (50 hours per week may be required in the spring season). Be able to work weekends/holidays as needed.

Value added functions by month or season:

  • Assist in reviewing and revising SOPs
  • Attend educational sessions when applicable
  • Assist in opportunities to change processes that support lean production practices to help decrease labor costs

Networking with customers and vendors to build solid relationships
