Colgate Palmolive Athens plant has been operating since 1968 in Piraeus. It is a modern industrial unit with a high degree of automation. It has innovative equipment and follows an impressive course of development and modernization in all departments such as packaging mass production palletizing warehouse of materials and products. We are vertically integrated operating a modern unit for the production of plastic bottles and caps which is also constantly being upgraded. The factory produces most of the brands of the companys Home Care category both for the domestic market but also for exports.
We are currently looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Maintenance team!
The role : Maintenance Mechanic
After receiving the appropriate training you will integrate in the Maintenance team and you will be responsible to :
Troubleshoot perform major and minor repairs and preventive maintenance as required to ensure equipment and utilities reliability and ongoing production.
Understand and adhere to all Safety Quality Factory Performance and Reliability standards and guidelines.
Ensure completion of work orders as scheduled and document in SAP in timely manner. Support the SAP Maintenance Notifications and Work Orders management.
Confirm in-house availability of tools consumables change and spare parts required to keep production running.
Support accounting processes for delivery notes and invoices of the spare parts .
Accurately store tools change parts and spare parts in appropriate locations.
Utilise maintenance shop equipment including drill press etc.
Highlight potential maintenance issues and take corrective action including parts requisitioning and maintenance planning.
Share knowledge and develop maintenance skills in other team members. Actively participate in continuous learning opportunities.
What you need for this position:
Academic background: Technological Educational Institute (TEI) related to Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical school
Communication skills: Excellent command of Greek and English languages
Ability to use computer systems like SAP Word Excel and email.
Willing and able to work in shifts
Completed military service
Ability to communicate optimally with all levels of the organization
Ability to work in a self-directed manner as well as collaboratively with others
Ability to recognize opportunities for process improvements and assist with implementing them
Its an advantage to have:
3-5 years of industrial experience in maintenance department
Previous SAP-PM/EAM experience (or equivalent CMMS software)
Do you have a dynamic personality with excellent analytical and interpersonal skills a continuous improvement mentality and the determination to succeed in a results-oriented and exciting environment
