About the Somos Internship Program

The Somos Internship Program offers students a direct line to our organization and the opportunity to accelerate their future with us. Through hands-on projects active coaching and cross-functional collaboration youll gain valuable real-world experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Interns work alongside industry leaders subject matter experts and dedicated mentors who are passionate about helping you grow. Youll contribute to impactful initiatives while becoming part of a community focused on developing future leaders.

Our 2026 Summer Program features full-time paid internships running from June 1 to August 21. This is a non-exempt role with a pay range of $28.00$33.00 per hour.

• This internship is remote but candidates must reside within the United States during the program.
• Applicants must be currently enrolled as undergraduate or graduate students in a degree-granting program at an accredited college or university.
• A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required.
• Candidates must be available to work full time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the program from June 1 through August 21.
• Final selection is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.

Working closely with the department the Intern will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Participate in Agile project teams to design develop deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
• Configure monitor and troubleshoot Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure smooth build and deployment processes
• Support developer productivity initiatives through scripting workflow automation and process optimization
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and contribute to technical solutions
• Perform additional project-related tasks as assigned

Major Initiatives:

• Contribute to the Intern Capstone Project applying cloud and automation skills to deliver a real-world solution

Qualifications & Skills:

• Currently enrolled as a junior or senior undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in an IT-related field (Computer Science preferred; Information Systems or Information Science also considered)
• In lieu of a related major demonstrated independent learning or equivalent experience in cloud infrastructure or software development will be considered
• College-level experience with coding practices and languages such as Python or JavaScript
• Comfortable using the command line and writing Bash scripts
• Understanding of Agile software development methodologies preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proven ability to work efficiently meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
• Collaborative and adaptable team playerno task is too big or too small
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform CloudFormation or AWS CDK
• Exposure to modern CI/CD tools like Codefresh GitHub Actions GitLab or AWS CodePipeline
• Basic understanding of containerized or serverless computing architectures
• Completion of college-level programming coursework
