Intern, Connected Leaders

Position Overview

The Rockefeller Foundation seeks an Intern for its Connected Leaders Platform (CLP) team. Reporting to the Director Special Projects and Partnerships and working closely with CLP leadership this role supports strategic initiatives that advance the Foundations convening work. The CLP team brings together strategists producers communicators and partnership builders to design and execute impactful convenings and partnerships globally. Responsibilities include supporting research coordination and event execution across multiple workstreams.

Program Details

• Open to graduate students currently enrolled in an accredited program.
• Applicants must submit a resume and cover letter as part of the application process.
• Work authorization in the United States is required.
• This is a year-long internship:
  • Full-time (35 hrs/week) during the summer (JuneAugust 2026).
  • Part-time during the academic year (September 2026May 2027) with a minimum of 16 and maximum of 20 hours per week.
• The position is based in New York City and requires in-office presence Monday through Thursday during the summer (JuneAugust). The in-office presence during the academic year will be determined by the position supervisor with consideration for the Interns class schedule.

Hiring Range:$30$35 hourly rate. This represents the present low and high end of the Foundations pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary based on various factors including but not limited to work experience. This is a non-exempt position and thus eligible for overtime pay.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of CLPs convening strategy by contributing to team initiatives and deliverables.
• Assist with research briefing materials and background documents for convenings partnerships and strategic initiatives.
• Provide project tracking and documentation support across CLPs shared workstreams.
• Help maintain team resources databases and shared folders (e.g. Salesforce entries project trackers event calendars).
• Contribute to planning and coordination for institutional gatherings and strategic convenings.
• Provide logistical and administrative support for in-person hybrid and virtual events including guest registration and post-event reporting.
• Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen partnerships and advance CLP team goals.

Education Experience and Skills

• Currently enrolled in a graduate program in a relevant field (e.g. social impact organizational development communications or related disciplines).
• Strong interest in convening strategy event production partnership development and network-building initiatives.
• Basic research and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize information into clear summaries.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint) and willingness to learn new tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks under guidance.
• Demonstrated curiosity adaptability and eagerness to learn in a professional setting.
