As a JIRA Expert you will play a crucial role in optimizing our clients project management processes by leveraging JIRAs capabilities to their fullest potential. You will be responsible for configuring customizing and maintaining JIRA instances across various projects and teams within our organization.

Job Description

• Jira Configuration And Customization: Configure JIRA workflows screens fields permissions and notifications to meet the needs of different projects and teams. Customize JIRA dashboards and reports to provide visibility into project status progress and key metrics.
• Integration and Automation: Integrate JIRA with other tools and platforms (e.g. Confluence Slack) to streamline workflows and enhance collaboration. Implement automation rules and scripts (using tools like ScriptRunner) to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
• User Support and Training: Provide guidance and support to users on JIRA best practices functionality and usage. Conduct training sessions or workshops to onboard new users and enhance the skills of existing users.
• Administration and Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks including user management backups and upgrades to ensure the stability and reliability of JIRA instances.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to JIRA configurations or integrations.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest JIRA features plugins and industry best practices.
• Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the JIRA environment.

Qualifications:

• Graduates / BE - B. Tech / MCA
• 6 years of experience as a JIRA Administrator or JIRA Expert.
• 2 years as an advanced-level Jira user. Strong understanding of Agile / Scrum principles and practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

To qualify for the role you must have

• Proven experience as a JIRA Administrator or JIRA Consultant in a fast-paced environment.
• Deep understanding of JIRAs architecture including workflows permissions custom fields and plugins.
• Hands-on experience with JIRA configuration customization and administration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience with JIRA integrations (e.g. Confluence Bitbucket Jenkins) and automation tools (e.g. Script Runner) is highly desirable.
• Certification in JIRA Administration (e.g. Atlassian Certified JIRA Administrator) is a plus.

Good to have:

• Experience working with Banking financial services and insurance (BFSI) sector
• Knowledge of Wealth Management / Investment / Commercial banking / Regulatory / Core Banking
• Experience in SDLC delivery methodologies including Agile Waterfall Scrum Kanban
• Knowledge of Agile project delivery experience good to have experience working in Scaled Agile frameworks Portfolio Product management using Agile tools and methodologies
• Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel PowerPoint Word) MS Project MS Server
• One or more of Industry certifications - PMP Prince 2 PMI-ACP CSM PSM SAFe CSPO
• Knowledge of Primavera / Clarity / Confluence / Azure DevOps/ Power BI is an added advantage
