Control Systems Engineer

As a Control Systems Engineer you will join our team in Coventry to support our activities within the Automotive sector. The programme will support mid-stage development activities within a model-based V-Cycle environment. This role focuses on designing implementing and validating control models for embedded applications using MATLAB/Simulink.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing control algorithms and models for embedded systems
• Conducting MiL SiL and HiL testing to evaluate system behaviour and ensure functional robustness
• Generating embedded code using Simulink-based toolchains and ensuring quality and traceability
• Integrating control models into larger system architectures and supporting cross-functional delivery
• Supporting validation calibration and system-level integration
• Performing requirements analysis and ensuring control models align with system-level specifications
• Maintaining accurate documentation test reports and model release notes
• Ensuring adherence to development processes quality standards and safety considerations

Qualifications :

Required Skills:

• Hands-on experience with MATLAB/Simulink for control model development
• Demonstrated history of implementing control logic for embedded systems
• Practical experience with MiL/SiL/HiL testing methodologies
• Familiarity with model integration embedded code generation and system validation workflows

Required Qualifications:

• A Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or equivalent military experience.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with automotive or industrial control systems
• Knowledge of ISO 26262 functional safety for control systems
• Exposure to multi-domain simulation or real-time embedded platforms
