- Handle general ledger (GL) accounting for assigned entities within the Americas region.
- Ensure financial statements comply with Mexican GAAP and where applicable IFRS; knowledge of US GAAP is a plus.
- Prepare and post journal entries including accruals prepayments and adjustments.
- Perform monthly quarterly and annual closing activities in line with company deadlines.
- Prepare and schedule payments via ACH or wire transfer.
- Oversee the Logistics Coordinator providing guidance and support.
- Reconcile balance sheet and P&L accounts ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and support external audits.
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable and tax advisors to maintain accurate financial records.
- Support tax filings compliance and other statutory reporting requirements for Mexico and additional jurisdictions as assigned.
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation in financial reporting across multiple jurisdictions.
- Work closely with the Americas and European GL Teams to ensure consistency and efficiency in accounting practices.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience including at least 3 years working with Mexican GAAP.
- Experience with accounting systems; knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Mexican GAAP; experience with IFRS and US GAAP is a plus.
- Experience supporting tax filings or statutory audits in Mexico is an advantage.
- Fluency in Spanish and English both written and spoken.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Highly organized detail-oriented and proactive.
- Strong interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
