The Revenue Analyst supports the hotels commercial strategy by collecting analyzing and interpreting data to optimize pricing inventory and distribution. This role ensures that revenue decisions are data-driven aligned with market conditions and designed to maximize RevPAR ADR occupancy and overall profitability.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Data Analysis & Reporting
- Monitor daily weekly and monthly hotel performance (Occupancy ADR RevPAR GOPPAR).
- Analyze pick-up trends booking pace segmentation and channel performance.
- Prepare revenue dashboards forecasts and business intelligence reports.
- Evaluate performance versus budget forecast and competitive set.
2. Pricing & Inventory Management
- Recommend daily pricing modifications across all room types and segments.
- Support BAR levels restrictions and inventory controls (MLOS CTA overbooking strategy).
- Assist in developing and updating dynamic pricing strategies based on market demand.
3. Forecasting & Strategy
- Prepare weekly and monthly demand forecasts.
- Identify revenue opportunities in low-demand and high-demand periods.
- Provide strategic insights to optimize distribution costs and profitability by channel.
4. Market & Competitor Analysis
- Monitor competitive set pricing availability and promotions.
- Track market trends events and compression opportunities.
- Conduct benchmark analysis using STR or similar data sources.
5. Systems & Tools
- Support the configuration and maintenance of RMS PMS CRS and channel manager.
- Ensure data accuracy and mapping across all distribution systems.
- Upload rates promotions and inventory when required.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales Marketing Reservations and Operations teams.
- Attend revenue meetings and present analytical findings.
- Support group evaluations and displacement analyses.
Qualifications :
Education & Experience
Bachelors degree in Business Finance Hospitality Management or related field.
13 years of experience in hotel revenue management analytics or reservations preferred.
Experience with RMS PMS CRS and OTA extranets.
Technical Skills
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Advanced Excel; familiarity with BI tools (Tableau Power BI etc.).
- Working knowledge of STR Duetto Ideas or similar systems.
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate complex data clearly.
- Collaboration and stakeholder management.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Forecast accuracy (rooms & revenue).
- RevPAR index (RGI).
- ADR and occupancy targets.
- Optimization of distribution cost and channel mix.
- Execution of pricing and inventory strategies.
Local Mexico area.
