Responsibilities / Key activities
- Drive Safety Health and Environment culture through role modelling behaviours ensuring compliance with legal and corporate standards in projects and installations.
- Ensure project designs and execution incorporate Good Manufacturing Processes including Sanitary Design rules and Manufacturing Operating System (MOS) Standards.
- Manage project lifecycle including pre-engineering scoping costing and capital expenditure request preparation.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders providing project updates and engaging relevant associates to meet practical requirements.
- Oversee project execution including tender document production contract management and budget control using appropriate standards and SAP.
- Prepare and issue relevant documentation such as drawings schedules and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with software engineers to develop User Request Specifications and review Functional Development Specifications.
- Commission installations ensuring full snag tracking and close-out through commissioning qualification and verification.
- Manage project close-out including handover documentation and creation of appropriate training materials.
Qualifications :
Education
- University Degree (Bachelor) or higher in Engineering or another related field.
- Languages: Local - Fluent; English - Intermediate
Experience
- Proven 5 years experience of delivering significant capex investment projects.
- Strong engineering (multi skilled or mechanical bias) background ideally within a process manufacturing environment.
- Experience of hands on commissioning.
- Strong project and stakeholder managements skills with experience of navigating complex projects.
- Experience of managing tender processes and delivering against financial budgets.
- Experience and or understand of project management techniques.
