Chamberlain College of Nursing seeks Part-Time Nursing Faculty interested in teaching with our BSN Nursing program.
You will be teaching students in the role of facilitator role model coach and advisor. Incorporating Chamberlain Care philosophy to educate and embolden diverse nursing professionals in a culture where students and colleagues thrive and cultivate extraordinary nursing graduates.
Chamberlain University courses follow an 8-week session plan: there are six 8-week sessions each calendar year (Jan-Feb Mar-Apr May-Jun Jul-Aug Sep-Oct & Nov-Dec).
Required Teaching Commitment:
- Live Simulation Lab session with students varied days & times (virtual)
- Professors will be available via email online conferencing or telephone to provide support and respond to students enquiries in a timely manner
We are presently accepting applications from experienced faculty with experience teaching in the following areas of course specialization:
Adult Health Medical-Surgical Nursing:
Students will be demonstrating nursing skills and procedures in a virtual simulation. The focus of this course is on the needs of adult patients and their families in relation to health promotion and management of conditions that require acute and chronic care. The nursing process is used in the discussion of health alterations affecting selected life processes. Students continue their professional skill development as members of the health team.

Qualifications :
- Masters degree in nursing (MSN) or higher is required
- Unencumbered RN license in a compact state
- Illinois RN licensure will be required to teach all courses
- 2 years experience teaching didactic nursing courses for a college or university is required
- Teaching experience with an online learning platform such as Canvas is preferred
- Faculty must have requisite subject matter expertise and outstanding communication skills.
- Additional requirements driven by state licensing or accreditation considerations may apply.
Additional Information :
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country the expected compensation rate for this position is between $715/Earned Credit Hour to $1950/Earned Credit Hour depending on the candidates education and experience.
