Clinical Day 1 Group Leader

Laboratory Responsibilities 

• Support Process Science sample testing of pharmaceutical products.
• Assist with technical transfer testing for development teams upon request.
• Coordinate with other members of the team to perform in-person real-time checks and verifications of required tasks.
• Coordinate with other members of the team to perform routine equipment maintenance and cleaning
• Calibrate or verify the calibration of instruments/devices prior to use.
• Use of multiple electronic systems to document sample handling procedural execution and report collected data.
• Ensure all documentation is compliant with GDP and ALCOA principles.
• Review test results and logbooks to ensure compliance with standards; report any quality anomalies
• Properly handle samples materials and instrumentation per standard operating procedures
• Interact with outside customers or functional peer groups
• Cleaning organization and labeling of lab spaces by effective procedures. 
• Complete all safety and procedural trainings and re-trainings.  

Leadership Responsibilities 

• General personnel management. 
• Complete 1:1 meetings with individual contributors and lead routine team huddles
• Manages and coordinates the workload of the team. 
• Monitors and reports all productivity and quality metrics. 
• Completes routine laboratory safety walkthroughs and employee compliance checks. 
• Participate in the hiring process and onboarding/training of new hires. 
• Delivers training for new hires and other employees in the department. 
• Participate in overtime and weekend scheduling as required.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors Degree (BS) in Life Sciences or equivalent. 
• Experience with UV-Vis/Solo-VPE pH Density Osmolality or other Analytical methods
• 2 years of leadership experience 
• Strong computer and organizational skills. 
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail. 
• A strong work ethic and ability to meet physical demands including but not limited to routinely lifting objects of 25 lbs. or more walking and standing for extended periods of time pushing or pulling carts and equipment and bending down or reaching for supplies. 
• Knowledge of cGMP. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team self-motivation adaptability and a positive attitude. 
• Ability to learn new processes perform multiple tasks simultaneously keep accurate records follow instructions and comply with company policies. 
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship. 

Additional Information :

Position is full-time 1st shift 8:00 am 4:30 pm Monday-Friday. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer NY and the surrounding areas are encouraged to apply.
