Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure a smooth and timely customs process flow for all customs related activities
- Daily execution of workflow and department metrics
- Transfer declaration information from commercial documents or other sources into our customs entry system
- Accurate and timely data entry to allow for the build of a complete US Customs declaration
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the customers and government organizations
- Guarantee compliance to regulations at all times both internal and external
- Track and Trace shipments for valid data transmission to US customs and Partner Government Agencies
- Understand all elements of the import customs Desk Level Operating Procedure and correctly interpret this information to fulfill our customers instructions and expectations
- Identify and manage exceptions while also identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
- Seek ways to enhance productivity KPIs process improvements compliance and customer satisfaction
- Effectively manage and organize emails for timely follow up
- Consistently display and promote the companys 10 cultural attributes: Appearance Attitude Confidence Curiosity Excellence Integrity Pride Resolute Sense of Humor and Visionary
Qualifications :

- Customer Service: 6 months to 1 year experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred but not required. We hire for attitude and train for skill.
- Understanding of transportation and US Customs documentation is a plus
- Effective interpersonal skills including proven abilities to listen comprehend effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
- Understanding of the importance of quality customer service and its effect on all facets of a successful business and brand
- Proactive and organized approach to learning and executing on the job
- Strong desire to learn
- Sense of urgency and works well under pressure
- Immense attention to detail
- Team player mentality
- Proficient computer skills (Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook OneNote)
