Fraser is looking for Mental Health Practitioners to provide clinical services to children with mental health diagnoses within our early childhood day treatment program. The Mental Health Practitioner is responsible for the day treatment skills training for preschool-aged children and documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Consistent with regulatory standards and under supervision of licensed mental health professional participates in clinical services which may include day treatment skills training individual and/or group skills training.
- Provide care coordination for children and families.
- Maintain medical records in a timely and accurate manner for the clients including session notes billing sheets incident reports and assist with treatment plans as needed.
- Observe and intervene to redirect inappropriate behavior.
- Communicate in a respectful and professional manner with others involved with cases including parents educational staff county social workers probation officers foster parents etc.
- Schedule and provide clinical services and documentation in such a way as to meet or exceed budgeted client services hour targets.
- Promote collaboration and teamwork within Center Based Behavioral Health and with co-workers throughout Fraser.
- Attend clinical staff meetings and provide input on peer reviews as assigned.
- Communicate concerns regarding rule and policy compliance to supervisor.
- Provide support to Program Manager in meeting goals including MBOs and other projects as assigned.
- Provide and/or coordinate assessments and collect data to monitor progress of clients in services.
- Provide work direction consultation and support to Mental Health Technicians as appropriate.
Requirements:
- Must be qualified in at least of one the following ways:
- Bachelors degree in behavioral sciences
- Bachelors and 2000 hours of supervised clinical hours
- Work experience only: 4000 hours of supervised clinical hours
- Valid Minnesota Drivers License with acceptable record
- Experience with preschool-aged children with special needs highly preferred not required
- Demonstrated respect for sensitivity to family and cultural differences
- Ability to accurately observe and document the behavior of children
- Effective communication in the English language
- Computer proficiency using Word and Excel with proficiency in keyboarding skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Commitment to promoting diversity multiculturalism and inclusion with a focus on culturally responsive practice internal self-awareness and reflection.
Schedule and Pay:
- Minneapolis MN
- Part-Time: Monday- Friday between 8:00am-1:00pm
- Pay: Starting at $24.52-26.00/hour depending on qualifications
