POSITION OVERVIEW:

Hands-on manager supporting MPGs businesses and their local management teams in Austin TX. Carry out the day-to-day finance and accounting functions of the businesses to include financial close internal controls cost accounting reporting and analysis budgeting forecasting safeguarding assets and supervising support staff. Supervises team members including hiring performance evaluations disciplinary actions etc. to reasonably assure the accurate complete and timely performance of all accounting and financial requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Completion of the monthly financial close including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations in compliance with Dover/MPG policies and procedures
Preparation of management and operational reports
Improve the accuracy and completeness of financial budgets and forecasts that support the execution of MPGs business strategy
Safeguard company assets and reasonably ensure the accurate complete and timely recording of all business transactions through the maintenance of strong internal controls
Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable cash disbursements invoicing/billing customer credits and collections perpetual inventory integrity fixed asset records general & entity accounting and cost accounting
Perform various financial analyses to evaluate company ventures or special projects programs capital expenditures products costing etc.
Interact with peers to share ideas and develop best practices across the organization
Interface with outside audit firms(s) banks casualty/liability insurance agent(s) credit card companies collection agencies taxing authorities etc.

QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY:

BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance. At least 5 years experience in financial/accounting positions of increasing responsibility including supervisory experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experienced in the preparation of budgets forecasts and financial analyses as well as working with and leveraging ERPs to support the operations of a business. The ability to use spreadsheets charts memos and presentations to convey financial principles and concepts.

At least 1 year of supervisory experience
Self-starter with strong communication skills
Detail oriented with excellent technical and analytical skills
Team player with the ability to relate and interact with people at all levels in the Company

Pay Range: $ - $annually

Bonus Eligible: This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
