I&C Engineer

SUMMARY: ReNuke is seeking an experienced I&C Engineer to support the nuclear testing commercial grade dedication (CGD) laboratory activities and the initial start-up of our new Oak Ridge facilities.

The I&C Engineer position will support the Engineering Department in developing Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) plans reverse engineering of electrical boards and addressing any issues during the execution in the CGD Lab. Other responsibilities can include the solicitation of vendor services and equipment developing and approving procedures contract discussions quality requirements and other functions as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Perform repair and reverse engineering for printed circuit boards
*Develop Commercial Grade Dedication plans in accordance with Industry Standards
*Develop Equipment Qualification (seismic and environmental) plans and oversee the qualification activities per Industry Standards
*Sensors transmitters PCB & PLC troubleshooting & repair LabView soldering capabilities loop calibrations and maintenance
*Develop and coordinate approval of clear and concise written procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements (NRC DOE etc.)
*Assist all departments as instructed by the Procurement Engineering Manager or designee including leading cross-functional teams to assure efficient sourcing selection and receiving of essential products and services

QUALIFICATIONS:
*Bachelors degree in engineering science or another technical field
*Commensurate technical experience in lieu of college degree is acceptable
*Studies and/or background in electronics/electrical systems preferred
*Knowledge of the Windows operating system and Microsoft Office products
*Knowledge and skills; PLC & PCB repair trouble shooting reverse engineering
*Ability to work in a team environment and to take directions as well as think independently

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
*Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements such as extreme temperatures dirt dust fumes smoke unpleasant odors and/or loud noises.
*Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks which require following basic safety precautions.
*Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 40 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
