We are looking for aSenior Scientistwith advanced expertise in spatial OMICs imaging platforms and computational biology to join ourImmune Memory groupbased in Slough UK.

About the Role

This role combines cutting-edge wet lab OMICs imaging techniques with advanced computational analysis. You will help establish automated staining workflows develop multimodal spatial analysis pipelines and integrate complex datasets that support strategic project decisions. Ultimately helping to build and create impact from a spatial multiomic platform.

Who Youll Work With

You will collaborate with histologists data scientists bioinformaticians and cross functional stakeholders. You may mentor junior team members liaise with external partners and contribute to global initiatives advancing spatial biology impact at UCB.

What Youll Do

  • Lead development of advanced spatial OMICs workflows supporting data rich discovery programs.
  • Oversee and run automated staining processes aligned with multiple imaging platforms and OMICs tools.
  • Design computational pipelines for image alignment quantification integration and annotation.
  • Collaborate through Git to deliver reproducible analysis scripts and shared repository workflows.
  • Present complex biological and computational findings effectively across internal and external forums.
  • Maintain training documentation and regulatory compliance across spatial biology platforms.
  • Drive adoption of cutting-edge technologies to improve spatial omics research performance.
  • Mentor junior scientists and support team development through knowledge sharing activities.
  • Engage external collaborators to maintain scientific leadership and cross institutional innovation.
  • Contribute scientific insights to publications patents and strategic crossfunctional discussions.

Interested Were looking for:

  • PhD with postdoctoral experience in spatial biology or related areas.
  • Expertise with image analysis platforms (QuPath OMERO Visiopharm) and Python.
  • Strong wet lab experience in automated histology and OMICs imaging.
  • Ability to lead complex scientific projects and mentor others effectively.
  • Strong presentation communication and scientific storytelling skills.
  • Independently able to drive projects forward while working openly and collaboratively
