Role Information
The school is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled French Teacher to join the Modern Foreign Languages Department as soon as possible. This is a full-time permanent role offering the opportunity to teach French across KS3 and KS4 with the potential to teach KS5 for an experienced candidate.
You will deliver engaging well-structured lessons that develop students confidence in speaking listening reading and writing in French. Lessons are expected to be interactive and inclusive supporting students of varying abilities to make strong progress. You will play a key role in preparing students for GCSE and A Level examinations ensuring they develop both linguistic accuracy and cultural understanding.
The role also involves contributing to curriculum planning assessment design and the development of teaching resources. You will be encouraged to take part in enrichment opportunities such as language clubs cultural events exchange programmes and trips abroad all of which are valued within the schools wider curriculum.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in French or a closely related subject
Experience teaching French at secondary level (KS3KS4 essential; KS5 desirable)
Strong subject knowledge and confident use of French in the classroom
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
A passion for languages and inspiring young people
