On July 1 2025 IPL Plastics merged with Schoeller Allibert to form IPL Schoeller (the company). The Companys operations are split across North America (11 manufacturing plants) and Europe (16 manufacturing plants).

IPL Schoeller is a leading manufacturer of sustainable rigid packaging solutions across a range of end market segments including returnable transit packaging consumer and industrial packaging environmental containers and agricultural packaging. The role
A Senior Cell Leader is responsible for the management of an operational team on shift to ensure self-sufficiency of that team. They will assist the shift manager in the management of their shift team including control planning organising motivating staffing requirements and production sequences to maximise productivity. They will ensure that all tasks are carried out safely and effectively meeting all procedural requirements. The job holder is expected to be a role model at all times.
Weekly Rotating Shift Pattern:
Week 1 - 06:00-14:00
Week 2 - 14:00-22:00
As a Senior Cell Leader at IPL you will:
Ensuring all PPE is being used correctly
Ensuring ALL staff entering BRC areas are adhering to site rules
Reports any accident or incidents to their respective Shift Manager
Conducts initial RTW following absence within the first hour of the shift where possible and completion of any anomaly paperwork
Compiles comprehensive shift handover document and has a physical hand over with the oncoming or leaving Shift Manager
Issuing job travellers to ops/machine
Changing jobs over on Intouch
Scanning labels in & out
Loading labels
Taking labels out when job has finished
Returning labels to returns desk & documenting how many labels are in the return label boxes
Printing snap labels to go with IFS BOM
Dotting pallets by the bagger to make sure pallet labels match snap labels.
Cleaning out labels in machine (when machine is off)
Handing label change over sheet to QC
Working on a variety of machines to cover breaks for operatives
Keep Training matrices updated and new starters have a training plan
All new starters are trained to the correct quality standards
What you will bring to the role:
Previous Team Leader or management experience within a manufacturing sector
Excellent supervisory and managerial skills
Ability to perform and lead daily manufacturing activities to meet production schedules with minimal instructions or oversight required
Problem solving skills for addressing safety and maintenance concerns
Strong verbal and written communication skills for giving instructions to contractors and employees
The ability to drive change and think proactively
Properly utilises influencing and change leadership skills
Good interpersonal and human relation skills
Desirable:
Experience with blow moulding injection moulding or manufacturing plastic products.
FLT License.
Proficient in Microsoft packages
A confident communicator
Ability to inspire and foster a culture of continuous improvement
Knowledge of Health & Safety
IOSH Trained
