The Opportunity
A welcoming and high-performing secondary school in Hertford is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join its successful English department. This role is particularly well-suited to an Early Career Teacher with a strong induction programme mentoring and ongoing professional support in place.
You will teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the opportunity to support literacy initiatives and creative enrichment across the school.

English Teacher Key Responsibilities
Teach English across KS3 and KS4
Plan and deliver engaging high-quality lessons
Track pupil progress and provide effective feedback
Contribute to departmental planning and collaboration
Support enrichment activities within the English faculty
The Ideal English Teacher
Degree in English or a related subject
QTS (or due to obtain)
Passion for teaching and learning
Strong classroom presence and organisation
Reflective enthusiastic and student-focused
Legal right to work in the UK
